Self-Care For Cyclists

Muscle Activation, Mobility, and Meditation for Recovery and Performance

Class One:  Sunday, November 17th, 1:30-3:30p

Muscle Activation and Meditation

  • Learn and practice strengthening exercises to maximize performance and prevent injury
  • Receive feedback and correction on your form from a physical therapist and USAT coach
  • Deepen your connection to your body and maximize the benefit of your exercise with embodied meditations
  • Understand how these exercises should feel and how to detect early issues before they impact your training

Class Two:  Sunday, November 24th, 1:30-3:30p

Mobility and Meditation

  • Learn and practice mobility, stretching, and myofascial release exercises
  • Understand when and how to use a foam roller, lacrosse ball, and other types of equipment
  • Practice scanning for areas of restriction through hands on techniques and meditations
  • Receive feedback on your technique and questions from a physical therapist and USAT coach

Cost is $80 for both classes or $45 for one class.  Class size is limited to 12.

Mats, exercise bands, foam rollers, and lacrosse balls are available for use or you may bring your own.

Carrie is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, certified USA Triathlon Coach and certified Realization Process Meditation Teacher.  She offers physical therapy and wellness services in Tucson, AZ.
